Privacy policy

TestBanker collects what it needs to run a study tool: your email address if you create an account, the answers you give so it can show your progress, a record of any payment, and first-party visit statistics. It carries no advertising, uses no third-party tracking, and does not sell or rent personal data.

What we collect

If you only browse

Our own visit statistics record the page you opened, the page that referred you, your screen size, how long the page was in the foreground, and what the request itself carries: your IP address, the approximate location derived from it, and your browser type. Visits are grouped using a short-lived identifier computed from those request details with a salt that changes every day; no analytics cookie is set and nothing is written to your device’s storage for analytics. The statistics are first-party: no advertising network or outside analytics service receives them.

If you take a free diagnostic

No account or email is needed. Your attempt is tied to your browser by a single cookie that scripts cannot read, so that you can finish it and see the result. If you later create an account in the same browser, the attempt moves into it.

If you create an account

  • Your email address, and your name if you give one or sign in with Google.
  • Sign-in cookies, which keep you signed in. They are necessary for the account to work.
  • Your study record: the exam you chose, the questions you answered and how, your exam date if you set one, and the results calculated from them.
  • Reports you send about questions, and how your exam went if you choose to tell us.

If you buy a pass

Card details are entered with our payment provider and go to the card processor. We receive a record that the payment succeeded, its amount and a reference, never your full card number.

If you write to us

Messages sent through the contact form are stored with the email address you gave so that a person can reply. The chat on the site is answered by an AI assistant: what you type is sent to our AI provider to produce a reply and is not kept by us afterwards, unless you choose “Leave a message”, in which case the message and the conversation are stored like a contact-form message. Please do not put passwords or card details in either.

What we use it for

  • To run the product: sign you in, show your progress, build your study plan.
  • To take payment, apply refunds and honour the pass guarantee.
  • To improve the questions. Answer statistics, in aggregate, show which questions are flawed; that is part of the methodology.
  • To send service email: receipts, sign-in links, and notice that a pass is ending.
  • To understand which pages are useful and to keep the site secure and free of abuse.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Who else handles it

A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us: hosting and database, sign-in (including Google sign-in if you choose it), the payment provider and card processor, email delivery, the AI provider that answers the support chat and the in-product tutor, and a bot-protection check on the sign-up and sign-in forms. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

If a school or employer gave you a seat, the people who manage that organization’s account can see your progress on the exam the seat is for: your readiness estimate, how much of the bank you have covered and how accurately, how many questions you answered recently, when you were last active, your best mock score, your exam date and when your pass ends. They cannot see your individual answers, your notes or your flags, or anything about another exam. You are told this, and asked to agree, before you claim the seat.

How long we keep it

  • Account and study data: until you delete your account.
  • Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Visit statistics: detailed records are deleted on a rolling schedule; only totals are kept.
  • Messages to support: for as long as needed to deal with them and keep a record of what was agreed.

Your choices

  • See or take your data. You can download everything held against your account from the account page.
  • Delete your account. You can do this yourself from the account page. It removes your account and study record; payment records we are required to keep are retained.
  • Correct something. Write to us and we will fix it.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your personal data, such as access, correction, deletion or objection. To use any of them, write to support@testbanker.org.

Children

The site is for people preparing for professional and licensing exams and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
